What is BRIX?

At its core is the versatile BRIX cube, which serves as the foundation for endless configurations. Designed for ease of use and optimal functionality, BRIX inspires users to “Build Together, Create Together.” Every BRIX component has been meticulously designed for functionality, sustainability, and flexibility.

BRIX Features

Modular assembly

The design features a top plate, four connecting columns, and a base plate, which can be seamlessly interlocked for enhanced stability and functionality.

Sandwitch design

All plate modules feature a split-layer ("sandwitch") design, enabling horizontal connectors to be inserted, removed, or replaced for ultimate flexibility.

Stackable & connectable

Build vertical and horizontal (like a puzzle) with strong interlocking mechanisms.

Magnetic attachments

The magnetic system ensures secure, seamless, and hassle-free adjustments in seconds.

Integrated storage

Keep your materials, supplies, or tools neatly organized and within easy reach, ensuring a clutter-free and efficient workspace.

Built to last

Designed for indoor and outdoor use, with water-resistant and temperature-tolerant properties. Easy to clean and disinfect, ensuring hygiene in shared spaces.

The BRIX Story

Traditional workspace furniture is static, wasteful, and inflexible — leading to inefficiencies, reduced creativity, and environmental harm. Fixed designs often fail to support diverse tasks like brainstorming, teaching, or collaborative work. BRIX was born out of a need to reimagine workspaces for modern needs. Developed with passion at the University of Applied Sciences Neu-Ulm, BRIX combines cutting-edge design, sustainable materials, and life-centered thinking.

While other modular systems exist, they often lack the full integration of adaptability and sustainability. BRIX outshines competitors with its intuitive setup, durable components, and deep commitment to the circular economy.

BRIX Modules

BRIX cube

A lightweight, 50 cm cube made of 100% recycled materials, serving as the foundation of the system. Durable yet lightweight, each BRIX cube weighs just 1.5 kg and supports up to 200 kg.

Universal plate

A highly versatile module that can be attached to the top or any of the four sides of a BRIX cube. Depending on its orientation, it serves as a comfortable seat, a sturdy tabletop, or a functional whiteboard.

Drawer

The drawer can be inserted from any of the four sides of a BRIX cube. It features configurable dividers inside, allowing you to customize compartments to suit your specific needs.

Replaceable feet & rolls

Easily replace the feet or add rolls to introduce mobility for on-the-go adaptability. The feet can also be adjusted in height, allowing you to level the setup and compensate for uneven surfaces effortlessly.

Security connectors

Security connectors can be vertically connected between cubes for stability in taller configurations.

Horizontal connectors

Horizontal connectors can be replaced due to the sandwitch design of the plates.
